Rebate Audits
By digging into the rebate submissions to a vendor, I uncovered missed opportunities that were costing the business a whopping $400,000 in lost revenue – the equivalent of six months worth of rebates! By reviewing the reporting tool's code, I identified errors that were leading to these missed rebates and put in place solutions to ensure that the business was collecting all of the rebates it was entitled to. Thanks to my analysis and strategic guidance, the business was able to recoup the lost revenue and continue to grow.

Market Basket Analysis
Tasked with boosting sales, I was asked to create a report for the salesforce that would help them identify products customers should be buying but weren't. By tapping into a variety of reporting tools and leveraging a BI interface, I wrote SQL code that highlighted these products and presented them to the sales team. Armed with this information, they were able to target their efforts and focus on selling these products to existing customers. The result? A staggering $3.5 million increase in sales for products that had previously gone unsold. Thanks to my expertise in data analysis and strategic thinking, the business was able to achieve impressive growth and success.

The invoice processing system relied on a manual and paper-based process, which consumed over 48 hours of staff time each month. I analyzed the existing process and identified the key areas that could be improved with technology. By implementing an automated system and streamlining the process, we were able to reduce the staff time required to just 4 hours a month. This allowed the team to focus on higher-value tasks and improve overall efficiency, resulting in significant cost savings and a more streamlined operation.

Cost to Serve Analysis
The business needed to understand the cost of servicing a customer to create a tailored customer rewards program. I conducted a comprehensive analysis of key performance indicators and business processes to identify profitable customers. Based on my findings, I developed an "ideal customer" model to incentivize profitable purchasing behavior. The new program resulted in two-thirds of accounts experiencing growth in total sales, which amounted to a staggering $22 million in additional revenue.
